Through the years I have had the privilege of working on large scale corporate events for companies like Microsoft and Starbucks. This has given me a keen eye for the post production portion of multi-cam and sound stage centered projects.
While these types of projects don't typically produce eye catching content, they do require some obscure technical skills and a detailed oriented focus. They are collaborative and have a lot of client input. As an editor you're expected to do most, if not all aspects of post as well as convey issues and challenges that come up to producers and clients.

I have had a great opportunity to work on some interesting projects for some major clients. Most of which were quite challenging with massive work loads and tight deadlines. Here are a few sizzle reels made from those larger projects.
In addition to complex renders, detailed visual effects, and compositing. Motion Graphics can be simple effects that enhance all types of video projects. Such as creating lower thirds, transitions, or animated logos.
Creating appealing visuals requires knowledge of a variety of concepts from animation to lighting to 3D modeling, and even sometimes the math of wind physics. Not to mention, keeping up with new trends and software is a constant process.
I am currently spending a lot of time and effort in enhancing my vfx skills in Blender and Unreal Engine. More to come!
Working with clients in an early stage to conceptualize a project from start to finish is extremely rewarding. Having knowledge of the whole creation process can help with any area of production, especially communication between departments.
In my free time I am an avid gamer and I particularly enjoy creating fun and appealing game captures. It is a great exercise in using virtual cameras, preserving image quality, adapting to different software, and creative editing.
